Birthdays sneak up on me every year. It’s not like they are a surprise, heck they happen on the same day every year. I believe it is a family trait that just keeps going from generation to generation. If any of us actually got a card or present on our real birthday it just wouldn’t seem the same. I remember being a kid and my mom finding presents that she “hide” months later. It made holidays last for months with surprises hidden everywhere from the wood box to the barn. With the start of the new year and a big move behind us I want to get organized. Well, as organized as a hippy pilot wife can be. I found an awesome binder at Target (yeah the tired Mom store) and have started getting my files in order. It is amazing having everything all in one place. Maybe this year my family will actually get things on time….yeah it’s wishful thinking.
