I remember the first time my boyfriend (now hubby) made me his family’s recipe of meat and cheese ball. It was horrible !!! Ok maybe that is a little harsh…… it was just different from my usual wheat grass and no processed food religion. This odd food he fed me was a fantastic mixture of cheese and savory salty meat. I knew it was wrong; but I couldn’t stop stuffing my face with this snack. Now 15 years later I have made more cheese ball than I can remember. It tends to be a recipe that I hand out the most at pilot gatherings since it is so easy even a pilot can make it !

We are up to 18 hours of light in our rural AK village. Gaining almost 6 min of light a day makes it hard to convince the little one that even though its light outside at 11pm it’s still time to sleep. Warm milk and honey is a great way to switch from play time to bed time !
